Greatest Biker Christmas Gifts

I've been trying to figure out what to get for all of the guys in my motorcycle club chapter. I go through this every year. I want to get them something but I really don't want to spend to much on the gifts.

In the past it's been things like doo rags, ride bells, and motorcycle stickers and decals.

These gifts were always a big hit. This year I've decided to try something new. Since we are all in a motorcycle club, we all wear vests all the time. And a few of us have been packing a couple of extra pounds on lately, and just like our vest to ride a little looser. So I found the great vest extenders from Cactus Mountain to be a great choice. At $8.95 each I can get my brothers a set of three and still keep the cost under $30 for each of them. Plus these biker vest extenders will make us look exceedingly cool.

Happy Holidays

Businesses with a heart

Today I've been watching the news taking it easy after a full day of stuffing my face yesterday. I saw a story about an employee at Walmart being crushed by the crowds and how Walmart says we try to keep things safe, but this will happen. At the same time I see a post on my friends at Bikerwares blog about the loss of a customer from a motorcycle accident. Funny how different their responses are. Humanity in business is still around but it's getting harder to find.

Tools, thanks for reminding me of the joy of life and showing me that there are still people who care about their fellow men.

Ride on.

Bikers For Babies - St. Louis MO

Yesterday, we took part in the Bikers For Babies ride here in St. Louis. As usual we had absolutely great weather and a great turn out. The bands were great and the crowd was pumped.

I don't know how many riders there were but it was in the 1000's for sure. The bikes were strung out for the entire 60 miles of the route.

It is so cool to be able to rid your motorcycle and see all of the spectators along the way smiling and waving. Even if they don't know what's going on it's great to know that you are there for a great cause.

One interesting thing I discovered along the way is that my wife's Triumph will definitely blow the doors off of my Harley. That was a fun discovery......

Be Safe See you Soon.

Wow Discounted Face Masks

It's unbelievable that after talking to Bikerwares about the post I made about their neoprene face masks, they decided to put them on sale until the end of the year. That's right between now and December 31, 2008 all of their face masks are being listed for 10% off the normal price.

I told them I wanted to buy several of the Neoprene Face Masks for my friends that ride motorcycles, snowmobiles, dirt bikes and for the ski season. These things will make great gifts and not break the bank, which seems to be happening a lot these days. They offered me a discount right on the phone and said that they thought that was a great idea and were going to put it on the website.

Like my favorite saying goes, "Never hurts to ask. The worst they can say is no!"

These guys are great. Check them out today.

Winter Riding

With winter just around the corner I'm really not looking forward to the cold. It seems that each year the cold is harder and harder on me. I know that it's not the weather since according to all of the reports the earth is warming.

I'm one of those people who insists on continually riding my motorcycle throughout the entire year. Matter of fact it's become a tradition for me to ride every New Years Day regardless of the temps or the conditions. Crazy I know, but I can't think of a better way to start my year. Well one thing for sure is that most of my friend agree with the crazy part.

One of the things that I started doing is finding ways to protect my face from the cold. For years I tried every imaginable type of wrap around that I could. Well finally someone suggested that I check out Bikerwares.com and the great selection of Neoprene Motorcycle Riding Face Masks that they have. Well I bought one and tried it. It worked so well that now I have several. I really love the crazy designs. These face masks are great for both winter and summer. They protect you from the wind, rain, sleet, cold and heat. I've always got one in my saddlesbags so the next time you see me, ask to try one one.

P.S. Bikerwares just recently posted a write-up in there blog about the Neoprene Face Masks, I'd check out that blog too.
